I'm with you on dreams. I used to say that I didn't have them, but a friend who is REALLY into her dreams said it was only because I wasn't paying attention. Sure enough, as soon as I tried to pay more attention I miraculously seemed to have more dreams. (As you note!) I'm still a crappy sleeper and still don't right them down!
If you were like the character in The Knight of the Seven Kingdoms whose dreams come true, then I suppose they would be worth paying attention to. Although maybe not.
I recommend you go the the (Japanese) Friendship Gardens in New Westminster, just beside the City Hall. It's a hidden gem, a very zen place. It's much prettier and more Japanese botanical garden like than the pictures you see on the web. It's a shady place with walks around a pond, bridge etc.
New Westminster's sister city in Japan is Moriguchi, Osaka Prefecture. Japanese dignitaries showed up for the opening ceremonies. There's a plaque in the park that will tell you more about relationship with Japan.
I will walk to New Westminster from Cariboo Heights in Burnaby. I bumped into this park on one of my walks, and it was a pleasant surprise, as you don't expect such a park beside City Hall and busy Royal Avenue. As the former Royal City, New West has a few streets with grassed centre boulevards, reminding me of West King Edward Avenue in Vancouver.
